When you are doing the weekly shop you may come across products carrying the Fairtrade Mark or perhaps you are already a Fairtrade supporter and actually seek out these products. Fairtrade products include Tea, Coffee, Cocoa, Chocolate, Sugar, Bananas and Wine.

Buying products with the Fairtrade Mark, means that you are helping to secure better prices, decent working conditions and fair terms of trade for farmers and workers in the developing world.

Fairtrade is a global movement which is represented in the UK by the Fairtrade Foundation. This is a charity that licenses the Fairtrade Mark, a guarantee that products sold in the UK have been produced in accordance with internationally agreed Fairtrade standards.

Fairtrade Fortnight runs from 26th February to 11th March and we will be celebrating with the following events:

Band Concert with Leiston Royal British Legion Training Band on Wednesday 28th February 2018 at WI Hall, John Street, Leiston, 6.45pm for 7.00pm.

Coffee morning at Leiston United Church Room, High Street, Leiston on Saturday 10th March 2018 from 10.00am - 12.00noon.
