Leiston-cum-Sizewell, a small town in East Suffolk, set up a Fairtrade Town Steering Group in 2008 and following much work by a number of dedicated people and the support of Leiston-cum-Sizewell Town Council, it became a Fairtrade Town in 2009 and had its status renewed in 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2017.
